Blackthorn Fruit

It really poured with rain today. Wet and dark. I decided to put a few more of the children into the greenhouse for winter protection. In the process I paused for a minute to have a little look at this collected blackthorn. It’s another monument of neglect which has survived in spite of it.

A little twin trunk shohin that has a lot of filling out to do

But it brought a little bit of cheer to a damp old day when I caught site of the couple of fruit it was bearing

As large as a grape and almost fit to eat. Yum Yum.
