This Common Juniper has been growing well this season and needed de-wired and thinned out. Junipers are hard work.

There is so much soft growth on the tree that it is really not possible to fine wire until the new growth has hardened off. I have thinned it, trimmed it and lightly pinched it. I realise that the trunk is quite thin for the size of the tree. I’ll probably get rid of it to someone who has the time and interest to stick it into the ground to thicken the trunk.

Juniper Thinned Out

If I do move the tree on I’ll probably keep the pot
