The Harp Juniper

This is a pic of this tree taken in January 2012. At that time the bark was cut back to reveal the live vein and we thought that it would be better to change the front of the tree bring the live vein, at the base of the tree, to the front.

I took another update pic of this tree today. I am really pleased with the way it’s beginning to fill out. I think the tree has good potential and am looking forward to doing a bit of fine wiring toward the end of the growing season.

I think this reversal works quite well. However this presents another issue  in relation to the live vein as it goes to the back of the tree for the entire length of the upper trunk.

All in all I am quite pleased with the progress of this tree so far this year.
