Kiyohime Update

I defoliated this tree in July. It has come back really well and I think it is looking more healthy now than it did at the start of the season. It’s even showing some extension growth which I certainly did not expect this late on after defoliation.

Back with it’s ugly scar where I lost a branch due to storm damage

I am still hopeful that the gap created by this damage will fill out

    If the gap fills in, do you plan to reverse the front? The trunk does seem lean that way (toward the present back,) at least in the photo.

  2. Steve you are right. In reality it does not look that bad but it was a front more or less forced on me because of the storm damage a few years ago. Thanks for your comment
