The May (Hawthorn Flower) is about to open on this collected Hawthorn. My wish for this tree is to keep it as close to how I collected it as possible. Problem with that is the long fairly straight trunk that is almost exactly as it was growing on a wall of a derelict cottage in Donegall.
The tree needs a proper pot or perhaps a slate to make it more convincing. Perhaps it needs something more of an apex. Perhaps less foliage. Perhaps it needs more movement in the trunk but how to achieve that without damaging the old crocodile skin bark is a bit of a problem. In any case the flower buds are about to open and this itself will be a pleasure to view. PERHAPS
