Shohin Picea

This little shohin Picea is showing good growth and extension at this point in the season. It’s a bit of a nothing tree but it’s good to see healthy growth after a long cold winter and spring. The trunk is very slender and lacks any  meaningful taper but the top growth is good so as long as the tree is alive I will try to develop the foliage canopy into something interesting.

  1. One of my favorite times of bonsai is seeing the fresh growth on the trees. I like the color contrast. In my opinion spring growth is just as colorful as fall colors. Very nice tree 🙂
