Mendip Bonsai

These are the last images from the RHS Floral Marquee  in the Gardener’s World live show last month in Birmingham. Some lovely trees from Mendip Bonsai and worth a post. Enjoy

    Some splendid trees, indeed!

I’m intrigued by the uniformity of the stands: on the one hand it highlights the tree-pot combination, but on the other, the stand has always been considered an integral part of the composition. Any idea why they do it that way?

    • Steve, I can only assume that it is because it is a commercial display and as far as I understand is moved from show to show in the course of the season. This means that the stands may well be displaying a completely different tree next time around.

Great trees from John Trott at Mendip Bonsai.
