Winter Protection

It has been a long haul getting there but at last I am able to move some of my trees into the greenhouse for needed winter protection. I have been involved in so many projects since we moved house in September last that I have been unable to build my green house until now. It’s actually not quite finished but tomorrow (Monday) should see it completed.

Yesterday was a truly miserable day with dark clouds from dawn till dusk and constant rain. The ground is completely saturated and the trees have taken a real pasting with rain these last 4 weeks or so. It was with considerable satisfaction that I managed to get some of them under cover yesterday in spite of the awful rain. I hope to get more in tomorrow and hopefully the excess water in the pots will get a chance to drain off.

I have hastily taken a few pics just to amuse myself and kep the blog ticking over. A number of trees need some work before the onset of spring and hopefully I will be able to take some time to get it done in the next few weeks. Problem is there’s a new kitchen to go in and floors to tile. That’s just the start. Does anybody know how long it takes to paint the Forth Bridge?
