It is always a delight to see the early signs of spring. It brings the promise of new life, light and heat in the months to come.
Although it is anything but a specimen this little Kiyohime always manages to give great pleasure with its fresh green shoots opening out into full leaves with all their individual glory. The tree is still under cover and therefore protected from the ravages of the cold rain and high winds and I intend to keep it there for the foreseeable future.
The tree needs much more development and I am pleased to see still more new shoots emerge at the back to replace lost branches a few years back.
