I paid a visit to the tall ships spectacle in Belfast on Friday. There was a great friendly atmosphere with crowds milling about everywhere at the Titanic Quarter. This was my first visit beyond the Odyssey building and this old fogey was really very impressed with the rejuvenation of the area. The entire quarter is very modern and well designed and would give any UK City centre a run for it’s money. Well worth a visit. I remember the old the coal quay, the scrap bays, the Coalman’s Mission and the old Bangor County Down Railway buildings. Everything was Black and Grimy but full of the character of the old town. Ah Memories
I also visited the Public Records Office NI where an interesting photo gallery brought back memories of my lifetime and beyond. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/proni/ This link is worth a visit.
