A Few Trees

My son has just returned from a trip to the USA where he visited the Longwood Garden centre in Philadelphia. As well as being an outstanding garden centre there is a permanent display of bonsai to be seen. The concept is that of a Working Display. In other words the trees are always on show to the public regardless of both the condition they are in and the work  and wiring that the trees are undergoing. In other words they are not specially prepared for display and are shown to the public in their unvarnished state.

He took some pics with his phone and I thought they were worth a short post. I was particularly intrigued by the Chrysanthemum bonsai of which there were quite a few.

I also thought that the Zelkova looked as if it needed a little water.
